The water puppets
The Thăng Long Water Puppet Theatre is on Đinh Tiên Hoàng, by Hoàn Kiếm Lake; its website lists the day’s shows. Shows are short and wordless, with live music, and suit children.
The Opera House
The Hanoi Opera House closed on 31 January 2026 for a restoration of about two years. There are no performances or tours until it reopens; we will update this page when it does.
