About The French Quarter: boulevards, villas and the Metropole

South and east of Hoàn Kiếm Lake, the French Quarter was laid out in the colonial period: wide boulevards under tall trees, villas with shutters, the Opera House at the end of Tràng Tiền and the Metropole on Ngô Quyền. Today it is the district of the grand hotels and of many of the best restaurants.

Sights
